I have wanted to put a cache in here for quite some time but never
really figured out how to make it more challenging until
now.
This cache is not located at the above location however this set
of coordinates is one that you will need to find the cache.
At the posted coordinates you will find a street sign. It is at a
major crossroads or "Island In The Woods." There are two other
corners with similar street signs
The coordinates posted above will put you at one corner of the
Island. You will need to go to the other two corners and take your
own set of coordinates and triangulate to find the middle of the
Island.
Your coordinates will most likely be just a little bit different
than the coordinates I used to place this cache hence making the
difficulty a bit harder. Let your GPS sit and average for a minute
or two at each corner.
I hid the cache at the exact spot my GPS told me was the center of
the Island. There are many good hiding spots within a 30 ft radius
of where the cache is hidden. There is however no need to bushwack
to get in here if you look around a bit. There are plenty of trails
you can follow to get in there.
There is plenty of off road parking to the southeast of the
Island.
