Lake Jenõ is a 28 hectares fishing lake.
Swimming is not allowed, so you can fish. You can buy a daily (or
nightly) fishing licence from the Kukac Büfé (Worm Buffet). It
costs 2500 HUF in 2008. In the Roman-age historians recorded that
the legions of Marcus Aurelius, the wise emperor clashed here with
barbarians threatening the Roman province of Pannonia and
annihilated them.
If you want to swimming, you can find a strand
with a modern outdoor swimming pool in the village. It is open from
June 1 to August 31. Close by, the Nógrád Tourist operate the
camping site in lovely natural setting. From May to September
accommodation is available for up to 100 guests in 2-4 bedded
cabins and a further 150 guests to be able to camp here.
How to get here: If you will be travelling by
car from Budapest, take Route 2. When you reach the bus station
(listed below) turn right and follow the small road to the parking
place. By bus from Vác, there is a regular bus shuttle service to
Diósjenõ. By train, take the Vác-Balassagyarmat line, but it is
very slow and not recommended. If you come by bike, please consider
that the bicycle riding is prohibited on the main road 2.

A Jenõi-tó egy 28 hektáros horgásztó. Fürödni
nem szabad, de napijegyet váltva (2500 Ft) horgászni lehet. A római
történetírók szerint Kr. u. 173-ban itt ütköztek meg Marcus
Aurelius légiói a Pannóniát fenyegetõ barbárokkal, és megsemmisítõ
csapást mértek rájuk.
Ha fürödni akarsz, a faluban találsz egy
feszített víztükrû strandot. A szomszédságában, festõi környezetben
áll a Nógrád Tourist által üzemeltetett kemping. A strand június
1-tõl augusztus 31-ig van nyitva. A kemping májustól szeptemberig
egyszerre 100 fõ tud fogadni 2-4 ágyas faházakban, és további 150
fõ sátorozhat itt.
A helyet Budapest felõl a 2-es úton, vagy Vácról
busszal illetve vonattal közelítheted meg. A diósjenõi bekötõútról
a lentebb megadott buszmegállónál kanyarodj le jobbra. Ha
kerékpárral jössz, légy szíves vedd figyelembe, hogy a 2-es úton
kerékpározni tilos.
