Geocache Description:

Saarenpudas on vesiväylä, joen virtauksen tekemä uoma, joka yhdistää Ounas- ja Kemijoen toisiinsa. Pudan on mm. erinomainen retkimelontakohde. Virtausta ei juurikaan ole ja voimakas tuuli osuu harvoin putaalle. Kätköpaikalta aukeaa hieno näkymä Kemijoelle ja paikka on hyvä melontaretken aloituspiste. Talvisin pudasta pitkin kulkee moottorikelkkaura.

Saarenpudas is the water way between Ounasjoki and Kemijoki rivers. It's a great way to paddle in summer time. The water goes very calmly and there is hardly ever hard wind. From the cache place you can see very nice views to Kemijoki river and it's a good place to start paddling. In winter time there is also going a snowmobile route.
