Take a stroll around beautiful downtown Portsmouth searching for
photo clues in order to get final coordinates for the cache.
**You need to Print and bring the "Photo
Clue Page" with you!**
Walking around downtown Portsmouth one day I realized there were
some interesting photo opportunities, and thought that a cache
would be a great way to share some of Portsmouth's history and cool
places with you.
The two things that you are looking for on this hunt are
YEARS and STREET NUMBERS. I will clearly mark which
you are looking for. Each year or street number can be found close
by the photo.
The photos are in the gallery. There is one page of photos along
with a map showing you the area in which to look for the photos.
Some are hard; some are easy.
The posted coordinates bring you to the North Church right in the
middle of Portsmouth's Market Square. From there start your hunt.
Everything can be seen from the sidewalk. Look high and low. There
is a lot of street parking along with a Parking Garage
nearby.
--HOW TO SOLVE THE CLUES--
When you look at the photos they will have Symbols under them.
Such as (XX_X) The _ (blank) is the number that you need to put
into the coordinates. Sometimes I will do a +1. For example: if the
year near the photo was 1876 Q=(XX_X) would mean Q=7 and Q=(XX_X)+1
would mean Q=8.

The final coordinates are about 3-4 blocks away. The hint reveals
the direction you should travel. Cache is a Hide a Key.
