Australian Icon Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Farmers 5: This has gone missing at least 7 times over the years. security fencing has also made it tricky just to access the grandstand area.
An archive might free up a easier spot.
Many thanks.

Geocache Description:

The cache represents the humble beginnings of the exact area in Wagga Wagga where the first ever Chiko Roll was sold during the 1951 Wagga Wagga Show.

The Chiko Roll is an Australian Savoury snack developed by Frank McEncroe. It was inspired by the Chinese Egg and Spring Rolls and was designed to be eaten with one hand. The Chiko Roll consists of boned mutton, celery, cabbage, barley, rice, carrot and spices in a tube of egg, flour, and dough, which is then deep fried. At the peak of their popularity in the 1960's and 1970's, tens of millions of chiko rolls were sold annually in Australia, and the product has been described as an Australian cultural icon. The cache is a micro with a log sheet and pencil within a zip-lock bag.Stealth will be required at most times as it can be a busy time within the Showgrounds with Harness Racing,Greyhound Races,Soccer matches,a Dancing Academy,Ice Skating, and many other events throughout the year. The original "Chiko Roll Poster girl" was around since the 1960's .Then a re-vamp in 2008 and new Chiko Roll Girl with a new picture shot ,seen here on the right ,at the front of the Wagga Daily Advertiser. Enjoy the cache.
