Geocache Description:

SOON TO BE ARCHIVED. New School being built close by.. Where the trolley flew over the train

GAS SAVER TWO: Head through the gates from the parking area. Find where the lines converged in the woods. (Stay on the down hill side for an easier hike to this cache). The trolley line came out of Worcester, along James St past the amusment park on Lower Stoneville, up Bryn Mawr across what is now Darkbrook Reservoir and headed down towards Webster. The train line came from near the existing CSX line by Hardscrabble road, down behind West Street and on towards Oxford/Webster. Extra points for helping me find any history on the Worcester Consolidated Street Railway Company and the Worcester Horse Street Railroad Company. The trolley back in the late 1800s went from Worcester to Webster. The train?? ****************************************************** While here please hike southwest along the old rail line. You will find a path on your left after the ball fields that will bring you out close to "One 4 Grammy". Continue on the trail until you find Tinkerhill Road. Go right 75 yards and follow the Trolley line northeast back to where you started. Watch out for ATVs, despite the ban, they're still on the trails.********************************************* Practice "Cache In Trash Out" While out geocaching, bring a bag with you to pick up trash along the way.
