Reisen hat mich schon immer fasziniert.
Besonders spannend fand ich dabei Inselstaaten, weil die
sich signifikant von dem nicht so weit entlegenen Festland unterscheiden. Beispiele sind Kanaren/Marokko, Malediven/Indien, Kapverden/Senegal, Mauritius/Kenia oder Malta/Italien, um nur einige zu nennen.
Das gilt auch für die Cachelocation.
Während das "Festland" um die Ricklinger Kiesteiche zumindest rudimentär bewirtschaftet wird, ist die Insel der reine Urwald. Da der Luftweg hier wohl ausscheidet, bleibt nur die Annäherung übers Wasser. Der Cache ist sichtbar neben einem liegenden Baum.
Das Logbuch ist übrigens aus einem europäischen Land, das lange Zeit ein weißer Fleck auf meiner persönlicher Landkarte war, auch wenn es keine Insel ist.
Bitte macht hier nicht mehr als Ihr Euch zutraut.

I was always fond of travelling.
I experienced island countries to be special interesting as they significantly differ from the continent nearby.
Examples are Canary Islands/Morocco, Maldives/India, Cape Verde/Senegal, Mauritius/Kenya or Malta/Italy just to mention some.
This also apply for the cache location.
As the "continent" around the Ricklingen Lakes has some development, the island is pure jungle.
As air travel is impossible here, You will have to reach the island on the waterway. The cache is placed visible close to a fallen down tree.
The logbook is coming from a country which has been a white island on my personal map for a long time, although it is not an island.
Please do not overestimate yourself.
