Geocache Description:

The History

The Viera family had owned this land in the late 1800's. They were famrers like most people who live this far out of town. They had almond orchards and harvested hay. The odd part of the story is the cemetery. If you were to follow a time line, the cemetery would have been here the same time as the Viera farm land. This can be validated by looking at the dates on the headstones. To clarify this matter, Antioch's original cemetery was located on what is now G street between 8th and 9th street (about). The original cemetery was dug up and moved to it's current location. By this time I believe the Viera family had merged with another local farmer, and this land was empty.
