Nestled into a rainforest environment, with great views of the North Arm of the Gippsland Lakes, this walkway will take you up the wooden hill to magnificent views across Lakes Entrance. It's a shortcut used by locals to get from Kalimna to Lakes Entrance.
The cache was placed here to encourage visitors to Lakes to check out the scenery and is easiest approached from the bottom. Take your time to walk to the top of the hill to catch the photo opportunities out across the Lakes Entrance township and the Entrance. The view is worth the effort.
Park your car by the Visitors Information Centre or the big playground or ALDI and it's only a 5 minute walk over the North Arm Bridge to GZ. Don't forget your camera.
Up-dated September, 2024: The cache container is a small bottle. You do not need to leave the walk way and there is NO NEED for any crawling under any part of this structure. You may need to take a seat, dangle your legs and kneel just slightly. PLEASE replace it back in its hidey spot so it can't be seen by the muggle population that use this track daily.
