Silver Creek Cedars
This is the seventh in what will be a series
of twenty caches that will have you traveling a "loop" from
Colville, north on Aladdin Road to near the Canadian border on Deep
Lake Boundary Road, and then back around to Colville through
Northport and Kettle Falls. The series will have a few little side
trips but it should be doable in a day with no problem. Please note
that not all of the caches will be placed and active at the same
time. We started with #6 and will get them all completed as quickly
as we can.
This cache is one of the side trips. Located
about .5 miles from the main highway you will follow Silver Creek
road to where it forks. The road is pretty well maintained and you
shouldn't have a problem getting here in any vehicle (in the
summer). Winter it is not plowed all the way but a snowshoe walk is
quite nice.
The cache is in a picturesque setting along
the creek among the cedars. I recommend you park next to the fire
pit and just walk up along the path to the cache.
Please be sure to replace and hide
well.
