This cache is hidden just off the old Boston and Maine Northern
R.R. "Rails to Trails" at the height of land between Grafton and
Canaan New Hampshire.
This cache is located at the height of land on the railroad, it was
all uphill from Concord and down to White River Junction. Water on
the east side of the "cut" flows into the Merrimack and water on
the west flows into the Connecticut.
Soon after I found this cache back in 2005 and had my own "cut"
this cache went missing and had to be archived. I always felt
guilty about that. I got a bunch of cache boxes lately and this
cache was on the top of my list. Park in Grafton by Tewksbury Pond
at N 43 deg 36.797 min W 71 deg 58.277 min or at N 43 deg 37.831
min W 71 deg 58.680 min., which is right next to the Rail for
Trail's trail and a short hike to the cache. Ride a bike, horse or
just walk to the "summit" then at the right spot get off the trail
and find the hidden cache. The cache is a big ammo box full of the
usual goodies, and a emergency whistle for the FTF. Be careful with
the loose rock and wet leaves when climbing.
