Geocache Description:

Caches named after people who were important to Mt Greylock.

Senator Theodore Plunkett of Adams helped get approval in the State Legislature in 1930 to build the Veterans War Memorial tower on Mt Greylock at a cost of $200,000. The tower was originally intended to be erected as a light house in Boston before plans were changed and it was built on Mt Greylock. Construction was completed in 1933.
