Judging by the many stone walls and cellar holes, this land must have been farmed pretty extensively once. You can't feel but deep respect for the work those people must have done to put these walls up in such inhospitably steep environment. Just walking by had me huffing and puffing. The tree this cache is in has probably seen those days.
