||Köln-Seattle Exchange Multicache
This multicache is a special exchange cache between Köln/Cologne and Seattle. In order to find the cache two geocachers (one of each city) have to build a team. So you will need to find a helpful geocacher in the other city, who will do their cache at the same time with you and who is willing to share his information with you. The cache itself consists of 3 stages (the last stage is the final container with the logbook). The coordinates of the first stage are on the top of this page. There you will find information about the second stage in the other city (the other way around in the other city the information for your second stage could be found). At the second stage you find the required information to find the cache in the other city.
Please mention your team in your log.
In order to calculate the coordinates of the next stage in Cologne, you need the information which could be found in Seattle. There two numbers are hidden at stage 1 and stage 2. Use them as follows to determine the coordinates of the second stage and the cache container in Cologne:
N50° 55.794 - 2 * first number at stage 1 in Seattle - 189 / E6° 58.333 + second number at stage 1 in Seattle + 8
North value of stage 2 + first number at stage 2 in Seattle - 275 / East value of stage 2 - 6 * second number at stage 2 in Seattle - 150
|Please play fair!
- Every cacher plays only one time in one team
- Every cacher shares his information only with his team
Seattle cache listing
For two reasons this cache has got a special meaning for me. First, I appreciate realizing this project together with FunnyNose (big thanks for the cooperation). Second, this cache represents symbolically my 100th hidden Cache. These two reasons are a good basis to announce that this cache is for now my last cache in Cologne. By searching caches in Cologne, but especially by hiding them, I got to know my loving city Cologne much better. Please allow me saying thank you for all the logs on my hidden caches and all the geocaches, which showed me new places in this wonderful city. I appreciate very much reading logs about geocachers, who loved exploring this city by searching my hidden caches. It is great to see if someone has got the same feelings about a place or a story like you had when you were hiding the cache. This makes all the effort in hiding the caches very valuable.
