Geocache Description:

The Twilight Zone

"You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!"

...

Imagine this, if you will... You are at the controls of your airplane. You are on a dual mission of transporting passengers including a mental patient and scouting bike routes for geocaches on the Central California coast. And then, this...

Nightmare at 20,000 Feet

"Portrait of a frightened man: Mr. James T. Geocacher (no relation to el Jim), thirty-seven, husband, father, former Starship Captain, FTF Phreak, and cheap hairpiece salesman on sick leave. Mr. Geocacher has just been discharged from an insane asylum where he spent the last six months recovering from a nervous breakdown, the onset of which took place on an evening not dissimilar to this one, on an airplane very much like the one in which Mr. Geocacher is about to be flown home - the difference being that, on that evening half a year ago, Mr. Geocacher's flight was terminated by the onslaught of his mental breakdown. Tonight, he's traveling all the way to his appointed destination which, contrary to Mr. Geocacher's plans, happens to be in the darkest corner of the Twilight Zone."

The Cache

When you search the posted coordinates using your computer and your favorite satellite imaging software you will find the area is similar to the photograph above.

When you physically arrive at the posted location you may not be able to find the subject airplane. Not everyone can see it. Remember, this is The Twilight Zone.

The only thing reliably left intact from the encounter with the Twilight Zone was an airplane ignition component.

The posted coordinates will take you to a point on the bike trail.

"... Realigning himself he moves toward the final destination; as the distance diminishes, the birds cease to sing; the dog starts to whine. 500ft, 400ft and then nothing. The GPS goes blank. In a wide open space it says 'no signal'. The Marina Triangle."
