Dragonfly Dike Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

L-grl: Visited this location yesterday. The sign post used to hide the cache was replaced by another type of post. No longer able to hide the cache on this spot.

NOMEX: I have located a spot nearby at coordinates N 37° 22.920 W 122° 10.625 and have placed a new cache at these new coordinates. I would like to either be allowed to open a new cache at this spot.

Let me know. Thanks!

Geocache Description:

Cache is a 35mm canister. Initial contents: a log sheet, and a few smashed pennies. You'll find the container in the Arastradero Open Space Preserve in Palo Alto, off the trail that takes you to the levee. Enjoy!

Dragonflies for some Native American tribes, represent swiftness and activity, and for the Navajo they symbolize pure water. Dragonflies are a common motif in Zuni pottery, they appear in Hopi rock art and on Pueblo necklaces. It is said in some Native American beliefs that dragonflies are a symbol of renewal. What a great symbol for today!

The cache location seemed to be dragonfly territory; I saw quite a few here. Hope you get to see some during your trek by the levee, or what I call 'Dragonfly Dike'.
