This hike follows GR 131 past our geocache "Marangano"
and thus along the edge of Parque Nacional de la Caldera de
Taburiente without entering it.
The views into the Caldera are even more beautifull en the views
over the island can be spectacular.
The hike is not a difficult one but the last part to the top
is not really easy because there is no clear trail leading towards
the top
From the top of Roque Palmero there is a 360° roundview
all over the island and especially unto the Cumbres and Roque
Bejenado (wich also houses one of our geocaches: Bejenado!)
Take about 3.5 hours for this tour !
BTW: This is a high mountaineous area where the sun can be
burning much stronger than down on the beaches. Be sure to use
a good sunprotection. Wear good hikingboots en carry plenty of
drinks !
