Geocache Description:

A nice box in a nice park with bad reception.

I absolutely love the Delta Blues.

"Hellhound on my trail" is a song written and recorded by one of my favorite blues singers, Mr. Robert Johnson. Many have dubbed Johnson the father of modern rock and roll. Of all early bluesmen, Robert Johnson can be considered one of the more prolific. Although he did not live long enough to become as popular as many of the other earlier blues artists, his music has influenced a number of musicians who dramatically changed music history.

No doubt you've heard the stories of how Johnson met up with the devil at a crossroads in Mississippi at midnight one night. There he traded his everlasting soul to the devil for the ability to sing and play the blues like a master.

Watch for more caches to come out in a series I am calling The Delta Blues Series. Maybe I can use one of my obsessions to teach you a bit about one of my other obsessions.

This cache is rated at a 3 difficulty for a few reasons: The satellite reception is awful under the tree cover, the hiding spot I found is great, and it is about 80-100 feet off a fairly busy trail--especially between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. When you enter the park, use the TRAIL, NOT the Road. If you want to see a picture of which is which, I have posted in the gallery. But I am sure if you go slowly when you enter the park, you will see the trail off to your right.

I have placed a disposable camera in the cache. Please take a picture or two of you and your party. If you don't want it to show up in the gallery, don't take it. Thank you

PLEASE Remember this cache is NOT available at night and the park IS watched. Alos, I marked it as "not winter friendly", the hunt is fine in winter but cache itself may be buried.
