Launch It

This is cache #11 in what will be a series of
twenty caches that will have you traveling a "loop" from Colville,
north on Aladdin Road to near the Canadian border on Deep Lake
Boundary Road, and then back around to Colville through Northport
and Kettle Falls. The series will have a few little side trips but
it should be doable in a day with no problem. Please note that not
all of the caches will be placed and active at the same time. We
started with #6 and will get them all completed as quickly as we
can.
There is a city park in Northport on the
north end of town. The location is the location of a previous
smelter, and there was also a building materials retailer at this
location.
The road to get to the park leads you through
what appears to be an industrial site, you will cross the tracks,
and the park is on the right... the boat launch is to the
left.
The cache location offers some great views of
the Columbia and the historic bridge. Most of the launches onto the
Columbia are in the Federal Recreation Area administered by the
National Park Service. I believe this one is run by the city of
Northport.
This cache is currently a micro (bright
orange) contains the og and a pencil. It is hidden near where the
road splits to the boat launch area, or the city park area. Best
bet is to park in the city park area as close to the Y in the road
as possible.
Please Remember: Travel Bugs and
Geocoins are NOT to be kept but should be logged and moved to other
caches to help achieve their missions. You do not need to trade 1
for 1 for travel bugs and geocoins but you do need to move them to
other caches. If you see bugs or coins in this cache please move
them along... we don't want them trapped for the winter.
