Marble Madness

This is cache #13 in what will be a series of twenty caches that will have you traveling a "loop" from Colville, north on Aladdin Road to near the Canadian border on Deep Lake Boundary Road, and then back around to Colville through Northport and Kettle Falls. The series will have a few little side trips but it should be doable in a day with no problem. Please note that not all of the caches will be placed and active at the same time. We started with #6 and will get them all completed as quickly as we can.

Just south of the town of Northport you will find a small area on the East side of the road to turn out. There is a massive pile of rocks here as well...

This cache was origianlly back in the quarry but this area has since been posted as no trespassing probably due to the garbage being dumped and the collapsed buildings on the other side of the highway. The highway is actually on a bridge here that allowed them to move stone from the quarry to the rail road tracks on the other side..

The cache is still here only now near the highway. I left it mostly for the historical perspective and you can still get some great pictures from the pullout along side the road.

I'm not a rock hound but it has been reported to me that this stone is a limestone of some type. (If someone knows what it is for sure let us know in your log entry.

This cache contains the typical log book items as well as a few trinkets to trade around. It is in a small camo tape covered container with a little bit of room for smaller items.

As you've probably already guessed it is hidden in and among the rocks.

Please Remember: Travel Bugs and Geocoins are NOT to be kept but should be logged and moved to other caches to help achieve their missions. You do not need to trade 1 for 1 for travel bugs and geocoins but you do need to move them to other caches. If you see bugs or coins in this cache please move them along... we don't want them trapped for the winter.
