Geocache Description:


Cache is an ammo box at the entrance of the Coal Creek Open Space Preserve (OSP) located at Skyline Blvd. and Crazy Pete's Road. (Crazy Pete's Road is named after "Crazy Pete" Martinez, who owned the land in the 1890s and built the road in 1895. The reason for the nickname is unknown.) If you do decide to hike in Coal Creek (507 acres, 5.4 miles of trails and a number of caches, depending on how far you go) you will need to leave your car and walk down into Coal Creek OSP.

This OSP is open a half hour before sunrise until a half hour after sunset. Please only cache during park hours. OSP information (including a trail map) can be found at:
