Granitfelsformation

Südwestlich von Ruhla befindet sich der Ruhlaer Granit mit Blockfeldern und mächtigen Einzelblöcken zum Beispiel hier am Gerberstein.

Diese stammen aus der letzten Eiszeit.

Der Gerberstein liegt etwas oberhalb vom Rennsteig.

Ihr könnt den Rennsteig verlassen über den Gerberstein wandern,nach etwa 1,5km kommt ihr wieder auf den "R"Weg
