This cache can be found from one of the many trails that lead to the summit of Mt. Cardigan. From the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) lodge on the east side or the state park on the west slope. The trails are shorter and not as steep from the west.
Cardigan summit has one of the 15 fire lookout towers operated by The NH Division of Forests and Lands. This granite summit offers outstanding views of NH, Vermont and Maine. This mountain is also very popular with many winter activities so I tried to make the cache winter friendly; however getting to it could be rough if you don't have the right gear. This cache also qualifies the fire tower for the NH Fire Tower Quest cache. GC1DJRQ. This cache is in a high muggle traffic area, so please take time to rehide it well
