Geocache Description:

Sarn Helen is an old Roman road that runs from South Wales to North Wales. This is a small bonus cache hidden a mile and a half along a lovely stretch of this old Roman road.

Please note the published co-ordinates ARE NOT for the cache itself but for a gate that is across the road not too far from the cache location...

The actual co-ordinates are written on the back of the log sheet in the first of this series 'Sarn Helen 1 - Nano', GC1HX1Z

The walk to the cache is not for the faint hearted - it is quite a hike on top of quite a high piece of ground - please make sure you are well equipped. Warm clothes, very good footwear are a must. The weather could close in quickly!

There is a very wet patch that you have to go through - I would not advise trying to go round it as the area is quite boggy... straight through is probably best. This is what I did wearing good (waterproof) walking boots.

On a fine day the rewards are worth it... It was very quiet the day I walked along this old road. In one word, tranquil.
