Carlisle maintains a quaint New England feel, with winding roads, a
classic town center, and much woodland and farmland. With its
2-acre (8,100 m2) zoning, thickly wooded lots, and large houses,
Carlisle sometimes is accused of fostering isolation. Many
residents say they appreciate the privacy but find it hard to
connect with their neighbors, whom they might not glimpse through
the trees for months at a time.
Conservation land makes up about a quarter of the town's area. A
popular conservation area Great Brook Farm a working dairy farm,
ice cream stand and state park in one, with trails that lead
through the fields and surrounding woodlands, past bright green
ponds, old stone walls, and pasture, and to a rather unusual
gravesite:
Not many cows get their own grave markers, but
Prospera was no regular cow. She produced an enormous amount of
milk - an estimated 30,000 gallons over her lifetime. At one point
she was the second-highest-producing cow in America. A cow of such
achievement deserves a memorial and certainly a cache, possibly
this cache!
The above coordinates will lead you to Prospera's memorial where
you will see a range of dates. Look at the memorial for clues to
solve the following equation:
42 32.690 - [Prospera's age at death] = 42 32. ____
71 20.218 + [Prospera's age at death] = 71 20. ____
Container is a small lock-&-lock container wrapped in camo
tape. Good Luck!
