El parking de la playa
de Las Salinas es el lugar idoneo para iniciar este
cache.
Camina costeando y podrás observar
las formaciones rocosas hechas por la naturaleza y por la mano del
hombre en forma de arte pétreo.
Disfruta de las vistas y feliz
micro-cache.
Bueno, ya has encontrado el cache.
Sigamos dando un paseo; un poco de "culturilla" siempre viene
bien.
Si te apetece, puedes seguir dando un
paseo hasta la Torre de Defensa de Ses Portes, siglo XVI.
Su finalidad era, como todas las Torres de defensa,
vigilar la aparición de barcos piratas que se dedicaban a saquear
los poblados de la isla.
Durante el día, se avisaba del peligro mediante nubes de humo,
mientras que por la noche lo hacían con fuego. Era entonces cuando
la población corría a refugiarse en los bosques o en las iglesias
fortificadas.
Se la dotó con dos cañones: uno de 12 pulgadas y otro de 8.
La misión de esta Torre era cooperar con la Torre del Espalmador
(en Formentera) en la defensa de la playa de Las Salinas y también
la protección de la playa des Cavallet.
Entre las dos torres formaban una defensa del paso entre Ibiza y
Formentera creando un fuego cruzado en el estrecho de Es Freus.

Der Parkplatz des
Strandes Las Salinas ist ein guter Platz um in den Cache
einzusteigen.
Bei einem Spaziergang entlang der Küstenlinie kann man die
von der Natur geprägten Felsformationen sowie von Hand geschaffene
“Stone Art” sehen und bewundern.
Genieße die Aussicht und einen fröhlichen Micro-Chache.
Wenn Du den Cache gefunden hast und Deinen Spaziergang fortsetzen
möchtest; kannst Du noch ein bischen Kultur / Geschichte mitnehmen
Du gehst weiter in Richtung des Turmes, an der Spitze der
Landzunge.
Die Türme wurden im 16. Jahrhundert erbaut und dienten der
Erkennung und Abwehr von Piratenangriffen. Alle Türme der Insel
wurden in Sichtweite zueinander errichtet; am Tage wurden Signale
mittels Rauchzeichen, bei Nacht mit Feuer übermittelt. So
konnten auch die Bewohner der zu schützenden Siedlungen / Dörfer
gewarnt werden um diesen eine Flucht in die Wälder, bzw. in eine
der Wehrkirchen zu ermöglichen.
Bewaffnet waren die Türme mit zwei Geschützen, eine 8 inch und eine 12 inch Kanone.
Die besondere Funktion diese Turmes bestand, neben der Verteidigung
der Strände Las Salinas und Es Cavalett, gemeinsam mit dem Turm von
Espalmador (auf Formentera)
Die beiden
Türme waren sie eine Verteidigung der Passage zwischen Ibiza und
Formentera, die Schaffung eines Crossfire in der Straße von "Es
Freus".

Be, ja has trobat el cache. Seguim
fent un tomb; una mica de cultura
sempre ve bé.
Si et ve de gust, pots seguir fent un
tomb fins i tot sa Torre de Defensa de Ses
Portes, segle XVI.
Sa seva finalitat era, com totes ses
Torres de defensa, vigilar l'aparició de vaixells pirates que es
dedicaven a saquejar els poblats de s´ illa.
Durant el dia, s'avisava del perill
mitjançant núvols de fum, mentre que a sa nit ho feien amb foc. Era
llavors quan sa població corria a refugiar-se als boscos o a les
esglésies fortificadas.
Se la va dotar amb dos canons: un de 12 polzades i un altre de 8.
La missió d'aquesta Torre era
cooperar amb la Torre de l'Espalmador
(a Formentera) en la defensa de la
platja de Ses Salines i també la
protecció de la platja des Cavallet.
Entre ses dues torres formaven una
defensa del pas entre Eivissa i Formentera creant un foc creuat a l'estret
d'Es Freus.
