Once upon a time there was a mine at the end of this old road. I expect the shaft is higher up the creek judging from the cables, the old cable car and various other discarded equipment.
When I placed the cache I didn't have time to explore the creek, nor its fabulous waterfall. It would be a great spot to cool off in the summer but not on a chilly November afternoon!!
The GPS reception is not good due to the mountains to the South and the steep walls of the canyon (20 to 25%). You will know you have the right spot when you reach the big flat rock overlooking the creek. There is a man-made pool to the left of the rock and in front of the pool is a wooden platform.

If you explore the area, please post some photos and share your adventures in your logs!
The cache is a decontamination container. When placed it contained a bear bell, mini-bison tube and a geocaching pin, log book and pencil. Please trade fairly and ensure the lid is completely sealed. FTF may choose their prize!!
