SOUTH WALES ANNUAL GEOCACHING EVENT VI.
Welcome to the 4th Annual South Wales Event, this is to be held over the early May Bank Holiday 2nd - 4th of May. Camping begins on the Friday night.

For 2009 we've gone to Talybont-on-Usk which lies at the heart of the Brecon Beacons in the beautiful Usk valley. Camping will be at:

This is a small caravan/tent campsite situated on a working farm in a beautiful setting on the edge of a picturesque village, six miles from Brecon in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park.
When booking your pitch please mention that you are there for the caching event.
Directions to site:
Coming from the south - take the A40 towards Brecon (approximately 6 miles from Brecon) and from the north - take the A40 towards Abergavenny (approximately 12 miles from Abergavenny). Take junction for Talybont-on-Usk. After about 1 mile passing The Usk Hotel, take a right at the T junction then take the first right after The Star Pub drive slowly down lane to farmhouse.
The village of Talybont-on-Usk has four good pubs, all of which do meals. The Star Inn which is famous throughout the country for the variety of Real Ales it stocks. The Travellers Rest Country Inn and Restaurant has a reputation for excellent food incorporating fresh seafood, local produce, an interesting vegetarian menu and will provide a "take-away" service. The White Hart and the Usk Hotel offer good value family food and there is a general shop, Post Office and newsagent.

For this year I have got a marquee to be erected at the camp site to act as a HQ during the day time and of a night time a BBQ come gathering area .
If anyone has any displays/ pictures they would be much apreciated.

Saturday night I hope to host a bring your own food and drink BBQ
On Sunday why not try something new. Llangorse rope centre is close by, as is some fantastic mountain biking routes.

1900 BBQ at marque (need to bring BBQ food and drink)
If not using the camp site please park in Talybont or in the lay close to turn off for Talybont on the A40
