Wally
One of our favorite places to visit has always been Washington
state. Like most, we both enjoy the mountains and beautiful lake
scenes. Probably one of the most picturesque lakes in a very
picturesque state is Lake Crescent in Washington's Olympic
Mountains. That's Lake Crescent shown above. This isn't Washington
and it's not the Olympic Mountains. We're not bringing you to Lake
Crescent either ... sorry.
In our grand state of South Carolina, we like Lake Murray. It's
a wonderful place to hike and camp. We've been known to do a little
geocaching and fishing there too. Sorry, this isn't Lake Murray
either.
Locally, one of our favorite lakes and adventures was Mvillian's
now archived Lake Wallace Cache in Bennettsville. You guessed it
... this isn't Lake Wallace either. It's Lake Wally ... no pier, no
park benches, downright lousy fishing, and no spectacular view. It
does however have lots of fresh air and certainly got you out of
the house!
