My sister, Evil Cow Pie, and I grew up as the Baldwin Girls. Although I wasn't always happy with my surname--just how many times can one endure hearing "Hey, Baldy!"--I must admit a certain thrill at finding not only a creek but also a loop trail bearing the Baldwin name.
While hiking the Baldwin Loop Trail for the first time, I was lucky enough to find a spot in the area from which there is a "see-to-forever" view. In fact, a 50sumtin view.
The container is a clear plastic Lock & Lock box filled with trade items, a log book, and a pen. Although you must leave the main trail to reach the cache, follow the game trails!
Wilder Ranch trails are available for use from 8am-sunset daily. Parking is available along Highway 1.
