Geocache Description:

This cache is a nice hike on the Bissonette Loop Trail located a few miles southeast of the Hinesburg village.

Geo-dog Chandra loves this sport/hobby/obsession as much as I do, if not more. So, I have created a cache in her honor. I often drive for hours with Chandra peacefully snoozing in the back, and without fail, she always knows when I am about to stop for a cache hunt. How does she know?! She starts spinning in the car like a dog possessed, crying with excitement. She has a pretty good geo-sense of her own and has helped to locate a cache on many occasions. I give her a lot of credit for her patience as she watches me walk in circles for a long time looking at that thing in my right hand. Her excitement and enthusiasm helps to keep me going on the longer hikes. Chandra hates “Park & Grabs”

The contents of the cache is mostly dog related.

Here is the trail map: Link The Bissonette Loop is the northern most trail/loop at the top of the map. As can be seen on the map, this trail connects with the Copp-Welch Loop where you can find/enjoy some more cache's.

Included are parking coordinates. During the winter you may have to park on Gilman Rd. Do not be deterred by the “No Trespassing” signs at the parking area. That is for the property to the right of the trail.

You can save yourself a little bit of hiking by entering the loop from the left. But, I recommend doing the whole loop. It is a nice flat trail that is perfect for cross country skiing. It took Chandra and I less then ½ hour to get to GZ from parking, and that was in fairly deep snow. The cache should be winter friendly unless the snow is very deep. There is only about 150 feet of bushwhacking that you will need to do from the trail. You can see GZ from the trail.
