ITALIANO:Non ho trovato notizie in rete sulla croce di
Selvapiana, ma la prima volta che ci arrivai casualmente durante un
giro in mountain bike, rimasi colpito dalla bellezza di questo
posto. I panorami intorno sono mozzafiato: da un lato, nelle
giornate terse, è possibile vedere tutta la pianura padana e buona
parte del lago di garda, dall'altro versante si vedono le più
importanti cime di tutta la val sabbia e oltre. Questo potrebbe
essere il punto in cui la grande catena montuosa delle alpi ha
inizio, eppure siamo a solo 900m sul livello del mare. Si lascia
l'autostrada A4 presso l'uscita Brescia Est e si prende la
tangenziale per Salò. Si esce a Gavardo e si seguono le indicazioni
per Sopraponte e per il Monte Magno. Si parcheggia in località
monte magno. La strada per raggiungere questa località è ben
segnalata. Da qui, si segue il sentiero 504 anch'esso ben segnato.
A piedi si dovranno percorrere 30-40 minuti di ripida salita su
strada sterrata prima di raggiungere la croce di selvapiana dove è
nascosto il cache. Se invece siete intenzionati a salire in
Mountain Bike, il sentiero 504 sarà decisamente duro, e vi
costringerà a spingere la bici. Durante il tragitto per raggiungere
la croce, NON C'E' ACQUA POTABILE. Portatevi tutto il necessario
per farvi una piacevole gita montana (scarponi, bastone, zainetto
ecc. ecc.) Buona caccia ;-)
ENGLISH: I did not find news about Cross of Selvapiana, but the
first time that I arrived there during a tour by mountain bike, I
was struck by the beauty of this place. The views are breathtaking
around: on the one side, on days terse, you can see across the Po
valley and most of Lake Garda, on the other side are the most
important summits of Sand Valley and beyond. This could be the
point where the great mountains of the Alps began, and yet we are
only 900m above sea level. It leaves the A4 motorway at the exit
Brescia Est and take the road to Salò. Leave it at Gavardo and
follow the signs to Sopraponte and the Monte Magno. You park at
locanda il Cacciatore in Monte Magno. The way to arrive at this
location is well signposted. From there, follow the trail 504 also
scored well. On foot it will take 30-40 minutes to climb the steep
dirt road before reaching the cross of Selvapiana where the cache
is hidden. if you are willing to climb in Mountain Bike, the trail
504 will be hard, and will force you to push the bike. On the way
to reach the cross, THERE'S NO DRINKING WATER. Bring everything you
need to make a nice trip (boots, sticks, backpack. Etc.) Good
