Geocache Description:

Kätkö on rauhallisella metsäpaikalla Eurajoen Juvan alueella. Kätköä ympäröivästä metsästä havaitaan säännöllisesti ilvesten jälkiä, joten hiljaa liikkuvalla kätköilijälläkin voi olla mahdollisuus nähdä vilaus tästä syvällä metsissä asustelevasta tupsukorvasta. Kätkön läheisyydessä olevat kalliot ovat Länsi-Suomessa yleistä rapakivigraniittia.

The cache is hidden in a peaceful place in the woods of Juva, Eurajoki. An unpaved road leads to ~200m's distance from the cache. There are some old trails in the woods but you'll probably have to find your own trail in order to find the cache. The nearby outcrops consist of world-famous rapakivi granite. The granite belongs to the anorogenic Laitila rapakivi batholith, which extends all the way from Eurajoki to Laitila. The granite crystallized as magma intruded the crust ~1600 Million years ago. Nowadays finnish rapakivi granites are used all around the world as dimension stones for building facades etc... Lynx traces are regularily found from the surrounding forests so a silent cache-seeker may be able to catch a glimpse of this tuft-eared cat. Also bears have been occasionally spotted in the area.
