Geocache Description:

A micro (not nano) cache that is the start of a series of caches at this ranch. Hours are 8:00am to sunset. This is where you can park and walk or bicycle into Burleigh H. Murray Park. The hike is an easy grade along Mills Creek into a canyon full of wildlife and eucalyptus groves. If you are going to go further into the park, this is also where you need to obtain information on finding the next cache in the park, "Feeling Nuts".

The best time to hike is either early or late in the day. You will see lots of wildlife in the early morning or late afternoon.

At about 1 mile into the hike you will arrive at a large barn dating back to the late 1800’s. This barn was used to house as many as 100 dairy cows. Just before you reach the barn you will pass by a gun range that is used by local law enforcement agencies. The peace and quiet of the canyon can occasionally (but not often) be shattered by loud gunfire. Bear to the left and cross the creek at the bridge to get to the barn.

You can continue to hike on a good trail another mile to some water tanks where the trail deteriorates.
