The Hill is lying between Diósgyor and Pereces (they are both parts of Miskolc). Some preserved species of plant can be found here. The hill is a unique formation in aspect of geology, because it is a remainder of a dipped, 5-6 million-aged valley. From the viewpoint of cultural history, some vineyards can be found on the southern slope (founded by „Pálos” monks from the beginning of the 14th century).
Why is itworth climbing on this small hill surrounded by Miskolc?
It is attainable easily from the town and it gives great perspective to the whole Szinva-valley and to the northern side of the Bükk-plateau.
Recommended start point using the local public transport of Miskolc:
Bus Line 1, from Tiszai railway st., getting of at Hóvirág utca.
Bus Line 6, from Újgyori fotér (Bus st.), getting of at Barátság-tér.
