A EN 2 (ou simplesmente N2) é uma estrada nacional que integra a rede nacional de estradas de Portugal.
Inicialmente, ligava Chaves a Faro (cerca de 700 km), sendo nessa altura a estrada nacional com maior extensão em Portugal (popularmente ainda goza desse titulo).
Embora actualmente muitos dos seus troços estejam municipalizados (ER2), ainda estão activos os troços Faro - Montargil e Viseu - Chaves.
Ao nível jornalístico, há algumas reportagens onde se usa as localidades ao longo do percurso da EN2 como um exemplo dos custos da interioridade do interior de Portugal de Norte a Sul. Normalmente nestas reportagens a expressão "EN2" aparece no titulo ou no resumo do texto.

The EN2 (or just N2) is a Portuguese national road that makes part of the Portuguese national network.
In the beginning it connected Chaves to Faro (about 700 km), being the most length road in Portugal (today the people still gives it that title).
Despite many trenches are now municipal roads (ER2), connections Faro - Montargil and Viseu - Chaves are still active as N2.
On a journalistic level, there are some reports where the villages along the EN2 are used as example of Portugal interiority from North to South. Usually, on those reports, the expression "EN2" is used in the title or in the text resume.
