The cache is located outside of the castle area. Look for a small, 0.75 liter plastic box. It holds a logbook, pen, and small items.
The Short History of the Castle
The castle was built in its present form at the end of the 19th century but a building was erected here shortly after the expulsion of the Turks. In the 18th century the property was owned by a German soldier family who probably earned it as a royal donation for participation in the battle of Buda against the Turks. The building has been restored recently and was furnished with contemporary furniture. Since then it has been operating as a 7-room hotel. Its undisturbed tranquility is guaranteed by a 3.5 hectares beautiful park, an outdoor swimming pool and a pond.
The old farm houses are used as winery. The excellent wine can be tasted on organized tastings.
