Following on from The
Morris, who organised a great cache event in Bendigo in
2007,
and cdmark, Team Rubik, and Team
GraMon who organised a huge event in Shepparton in
2008
the Ballarat GeoCachers would like to invite everyone to the
third
Central Victorian Get
Together
on ANZAC day.
We’ll be meeting at one of the rotundas on the shores Lake
Wendouree.
There’s been no water in the lake for 5 years so there’s no
swimming, but you could go for a walk.
Actually the area has been done up and is quite pleasant.
There’s a huge playground nearby for the kids.
There’s lots of big trees for shade.
You can have a go on the Tourist tram or visit the POW
memorial.
Or even better, there are
quite a few caches
in walking distance and heaps
in and around
Ballarat.
There are BBQ’s
nearby.
We'll have some “get to know you” activities and some caches for
the kids.
We'll be there from 11am till we're done, but at least
2pm.
Hope you can
come!
Fine Print : Walking on the dry lake bed is not safe. Please just
walk around it.
