How Geocaching Works
First of a series of caches located in the Chequamegon National Forest. These caches will be located along forest roads that are still accessible by foot, but are no longer kept clear for driving. Many are long overgrown and are no longer recognizable as roadways.
You are looking for a 30 cal ammo box
Do not trust the online maps for this cache, as the larger road connecting from Conley Road is no longer there. Parking coordinates are listed for FR 183.
Expect a 1.5 mile walk round trip over varying terrain.
Also take care in the late fall, especially during the deer seasons, as this is a well hunted area. Be sure to bring blaze orange if you attempt it during that time.
