Kartanon historiaa
Tuomarinkylän kartanoalue sijaitsee Vantaanjoen varrella. Nimi Tuomarinkylä (Domarby) on peräisin ainakin keskiajalta, itse kartano 1700-luvulta. Nykyinen päärakennus ja kolme piharakennusta ovat valmistuneet vuoden 1790 tienoilla, jolloin kartanon omisti sotakamreeri Johannes Weckström. Hänen kuoltuaan kartanon osti kauppias Jacob Kavaleff, jonka jälkeläiset asuivat kartanossa aina 1950-luvulle saakka. 1960-luvulla rakennukset restauroitiin 1700-luvun lopun asuun ja kartano avattiin yleisölle.
Kartanorakennuksissa toimi pitkään kaksi museota, mutta kaupunginmuseon toiminta Tuomarinkylässä loppui syksyllä 2013. Kartanon naapurissa on Tuomarinkylän ratsastuskoulun talli. Lähistöllä sijaitsee myös Vinttikoirakeskus. Helsingin kaupunki viljelee kartanon peltoja, ja loppukesästä kartanon läheisyydestä voi usein maksutta poimia kukkia ja herneitä.
Yöaikaan kartanon puistossa kulkiessa saattaa törmätä Tuomarinkylän valkeaan rouvaan, kartanon entisen emännän Natalia Stjernschantzin (os. Kavaleff, 1831–1858) haamuun. Kertoman mukaan valkoisiin pukeutunut Stjernschantz kulkee puistossa lastenvaunuja työntäen. Hän suree lapsiaan, vauvana kuollutta Johan Gustafia sekä kaksostyttäriä, joiden synnytykseen Stjernschantz itse menehtyi.

History of the manor
Tuomarinkylä Manor is located along the river Vantaa. The name Tuomarinkylä (Domarby) dates back to the Middle Ages, the manor itself to the 18th century. The current main building and three outbuildings were completed around 1790, when the manor was owned by military treasurer Johannes Weckström. After his death, the manor was bought by merchant Jacob Kavaleff, whose descendants lived in the manor until the 1950s. In the 1960s, the buildings were restored to their late 18th-century appearance and the manor was opened to the public.
Helsinki City Museum used to operate in the manor buildings, but the museum was closed in 2013. Tuomarinkylä riding school has a stable next to the manor. The Sighthound Centre is also located nearby. The city of Helsinki cultivates the fields of the manor, and in late summer citizens are often allowed to pick flowers and peas for free.
While walking in the park of the manor at night, you may encounter the White Lady of Tuomarinkylä, the ghost of Natalia Stjernschantz (born Kavaleff, 1831–1858), the former mistress of the manor. According to the story, Stjernschantz walks in the park dressed in white and pushing a pram. She mourns her children, Johan Gustaf who died as a baby, and twin daughters whose birth caused Stjernschantz’s own death.
