A courier just delivered a handwritten message to your door. It
reads:
My dear friend and intrepid traveler,
After much planning, I have prepared a new and exciting challenge
for you. Called Around the World in 80
Caches!, it requires patience, ingenuity, and the
ability to handle the unexpected. In this journey, you will be
venturing into several countries, 80 in all, in search of concealed
artifacts. The countries will lead you to continents, and the
continents will lead you to the ultimate prize, hereafter known as
"The World." Based on your experience and past adventures, I am
confident you will succeed. As always, travel safe and be sure to
document your findings. I look forward to hearing all about your
grand expedition.
Your great admirer,
Jules Verne
IMPORTANT NOTE: Information in this cache will help you
solve Europe: ATW80 (GC1MGAC), a
puzzle cache tied to the European countries.
**APRIL 2009 UPDATE** Noticed that many cachers are hopping the
fence at this location which is NOT necessary. Trailhead coords ARE
posted on the page but apparently they don't load into Cachemate or
are in invisible on printouts.
There is a legal access point within 50 feet of the dead end of
Crest De Ville on the east side of the street. Coords are 33
49.386/117 47.465. This is a gap in the fence for hikers and
walkers. It's about 450 ft. southwest of the cache.
There may be other gaps in the fencing but this is the best and
easiest one to use.
You are looking for a cammo'd paintball tube. Difficulty set a
little higher due to possible poor satellite coverage near the
cache. Please note NO PARKING on Crest De Ville OR Goldenrod from
9pm-6am so time your search wisely. You don't want a ticket!
