Braslas senleja ir viena no skaistakajam Latvijas mazo upju
senlejam. Abos krastos ir stavas smilšakmens kraujas ar
neskartu augu valsti un 42 m garu krasta alu sistemu.

The old valley of the river Brasla is one of the most charming old
valleys of Latvia’s small rivers. On both sides are steep
sandstone banks with untouched flora and 42m long cave system of
the bank.

Gleznainais, labi izteiktas un dzilas Braslas senielejas, posms ir
viens no skaistakajiem dabas veidojumiem Latvija. Lejpus Straupes,
Brasla plust pa dzilu senieleju, un upes krastos te atsedzas
grandiozas smilšakmens klintis ar alam un nišam.
Ziema uz dažiem atsegumiem veidojas iespaidigi leduskritumi.
Ainaviskakais Braslas posms atrodas lejpus zivjaudzetavas
aizsprosta. Te vai ikkatra upes likuma pacelas majestatiskas
klintis, upe plust pa savdabigu, ap 300 m platu un lidz 30 m dzilu
"kanjonu".
Geocache ir izvietots loti skaista vieta un brivi pieejams visu
cauru gadu,tacu ledus kritumus var redzet tikai ziemas laika vai
agra pavasari. Dodoties meklejumos ziema, janem vera, ka var but
LOTI slidens!
Uzmanibu, šis ir Valsts aizsargajams dabas objekts!
Apmekletaji un to celabiedri tiek aicinati iztureties saudzigi pret
dabu un tas pieminekliem. Par objekta bojašanu (skrapejot,
dauzot, kapelejot, un citadi fiziski iedarbojoties), par ta
piesarnošanu, par parvietošanos ar transportu lieguma
teritorija tiek piemerota administrativa atbildiba. Saudzesim
dabu!

The picturesque part of a well defined and deep river Brasla is one
of the most charming creations of the nature in Latvia. Below the
city of Straupe river Brasla flows within an old valley and on the
banks of the river the mighty sandstone cliffs with caves and
niches are revealed. During winter, impressive icefalls form on
some cliff outcrops. The most picturesque part of Brasla is below
fish nursery dike. Here, nearly on every turn, majestic cliffs
arise, the river flows in a peculiar 300m wide and 30m deep
“canyon”.
The geocache is placed in a very beautiful place and is freely
accessible throughout the year, but the icefalls can only be seen
during a winter or an early spring. When searching in winter,
please take extra care, because it might be EXTREMELY
slippery!
Visitors and their fellow travelers are kindly requested to behave
with care towards the nature and its monuments. For damaging of the
object (scratching, breaking or interacting with other means of the
force), area pollution and driving a vehicle in a territory, an
administrative punishment can be applied. Let’s preserve the
nature!

un diviem labiem draugiem, 2009. gada 14. februari - Sv. Valentina
diena. Tadel iesaku, dodoties meklet šo geocache, nemt lidzi
sev tuvu un milu cileku :)

The cache was placed on a trip together with my beloved wife and
two our friends on 14th of February, 2009 - on a day of St.
Valentine. So it is advised to take someone you love and care for
together when searching for this geocache :)
