Friendship Park lies at the south end of Friendship Mound along Little Roche-A-Cri Creek below the Friendship Lake dam. There are benches to sit on for the reflective types and playground equipment for the active ones. There is also a shelter that can be rented for family reunions, high school graduations, weddings, and other occasions. The community volleyball leagues see action on the sand courts here a couple of nights a week from May through August.
If it is summer, the village beach for swimming at Friendship Lake is not far away, and there is also a boat landing there. We recommend the fishing and canoeing on the lake. In the winter, there is ice fishing on the lake (drive on the ice to the shanty village, if you dare!), and in the park there is sledding down the hill at the south end off of Lake Street. To hunt for the cache, however, there is parking in the north end lot near the shelter and restrooms.
