How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is all about being safe - safe from muggles, perhaps even safe from geocachers!

Getting to the listed coordinates is easy. Finding the cache is is little harder. Getting the contents of the cache is more difficult still.

This cache can only be found if you have a wireless (WiFi G or N standard) device that you can bring along.

At the listed coordinates you will find a caching friendly open wireless network. The wireless network is not open to the Internet and in fact you can only browse to a single web page. If you do connect (not required), there is some more information and pictures of the cache at. If you came in a car, you don't even need to get out to complete this first step.

Once you have found the wireless network, proceed to look for the cache

The cache is small container and contains a log only (no pen). We have not put any swaps in - we kept losing them - you'll see what we mean.

When you retrieve the cache, be aware of the surrounding houses. It can be accessed from the footpath.

Please note that due to circumstance beyond our control the wireless access point may not be available at all times. Things such as power cuts, radio interference (eg cordless telephones, microwaves) and access point firmware bugs may affect the availability of the access point. We do monitor it and will attempt to make it as available as possible. You can see the status of the accesspoint here.
