You can find this arboretum in a deep oak forest it is called Ágneslak. You can’t stay in this forest in hunting season (from August 15th to October 31st) from 3 PM to 8 AM.
This arboretum was established in Y1920s in a valley of the Somogy-Zala hilly country and it is surrounded by dammed up lakes. It is particularly full of pine neddle (coniferous) species, eg. Giant western redcedar (Thuja plicata), Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica), cedar species (eg. Northern whitecedar that is Thuja occidentalis), species of juniper etc. You can find the gate of the arboretum at N46° 19,957’ E17° 3,704’ point and can go free of charge in.
How to approach?
You drive in the road No 61 and you find the forking at N46° 22,269’ E17° 4,344’ 240 m point. You can park at the barrier. A 4 km-length narrow but good asphalt covered forest road leads to the arboretum.
