Geocache Description:

Sugo Isobe Shrine is one of the highest ranked shrines in the Kaga area. Every year on February 10, there is a unique festival called "Gongan Shinji". During this festival thousands of bamboo are broken and shared among the people to ward off evil spirits.

菅生石部神社は式内社で、加賀地方では白山比咩神社に次ぐ大社であり、古来の由緒を物語る資料や文化財などが多く残されています。また、毎年２月１０日には竹を地面に叩き付けて割る奇祭「御願神事」が行われ、この竹を使った箸を使うと無病息災に過ごせるとの言い伝えがあります。
