Beach walk along rock at low tide only
ONLY ATTEMPT AT LOW TIDE.
Park at the end of spout creek S38 28.658 E144 02.020. The only way to access this cache is to walk along the beach towards lorne. You need to cross grassy creek which is very easy at low tide. Keep walking along the rocks. You will end up at a channel that gives a good display when the surf is big. Continue over the very small ledge and you will see the cave to your right. Walk up into the cave. Go to the back of the cave and look out towards the sea. Look for the largest rock under the bushes in the front of the cave. The cach is under a rock.
Please bring a rubbish bag with you to collect up the mess left by others.
This is a great 2.5 km walk which takes about 1hr return. Great coastal cliffs and a nice and quiet area. You will be walking over rocks and sand.
Contents, interesting trinkets and pencil
My GPS shows the cache to be at sea do not fear it is high and dry as is the walk
Maintained 7 Aug 2011 upgraded the container. Thanks Juc Cacher for the new book.
