The dam of Hamura(Hamura-seki) is an entrance of Tamagawajosui.
Water still flows to Yotsuya from here.
A waterway was excavated from Hamura to Yotsuyaookido in 1653, and
Water flowed to Edo in the next year.
A cherry tree blooms in spring. Please come by bicycle which is Tama River cycling road here.

羽村の堰は玉川上水の入り口です。
ここから 今でも四谷まで水が流れています。
玉川上水は、1653年に羽村から四谷大木戸までの上水路が開削され,そして
翌年には水が江戸まで流れました。
春は桜が咲きます。ここは多摩川サイクリングロードです、自転車で来てください。
