Near the fort at landguard. and next to the Nature Reserve well
known for bird watching. the terrain is good and is ok for buggies
but there is a slope and shingle to negotiate
A round white container with enough room for a log book, pen and a
few tiny swaps there is no room for TBs or coins.
This cache can be a quick cache and dash, or you can have a nice
walk across landguard common and the Reserve.
There is also a parking area with views of the river and ships
coming and going
The fort is well worth a look and is open from 10 am till 5-6 pm
from the end of March till November 7 days a week. This is the site
where in 1667 the Dutch were defeated by Captain Nathaniel Darell.
You can visit the fort from both car parks.
Dogs welcome in fort on a lead.
