The Minister's Woodlot Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Travishuman: When I checked on this yesterday I realized that the area was not an easy place to get to anymore. Nature has taken over and filled it with downed branches, brambles and PI.

Geocache Description:

This cache is off of Stackyard Rd and Rt 1A.

The Minister's Woodlot was named for the Rev Ezekiel Rogers, the Town's 1st minister, who was given 21 acres. First Settlers were given 1 1/2 acre house lots, planting ground, and marsh lots. This was also known as Planting Hill. The Driftway is the right-of-way used by farmers to get out to their salt marsh lots to harvest. There is a conservation restriction on this lot (Thanks to Javajan for this info)
There is a trailhead just as you pull in from 1A. Follow the easy trail to the scenic view. Enjoy the sights then look to your right at the next little bit of land jutting out into the marsh. This is your goal. DO NOT GO ACROSS THE MARSH!!!!! There are faint trails heading that way but some minor bushwacking is involved. This should be fairly easy. Cache is a small camo canister. Please rehide just as you found it. Bring your own pencil/ pen as there is only room for the log.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RICKANN: FTF
